Yabadabadoo Fun

Yabadoo, is an indoor play park in Mehlingen, about 20 minutes form our house. We took Ava there Saturday Aug 22. This place is full of blow up slides and bouncy castles. They have extremely springy trampolines and giant swings. The German people believe in a single rule when it comes to kid play:

Watch your own Child

Parents and kids are allowed to go wild. It's not often that you can see a dad follow their own kid into the mouth of a blow up dragon and slide down the back of it. We had a few OOPS moments and some tears but over all Ava thought it was kid paradise.

Dave will say "Ava watch papa do tricks" and then she laughs, she just loves to watch him.

Barfuss park in Bad Sobernheim (translates into complications)

Ava and I went to a Barfuss Park (Bare Foot Park) Thursday Aug 20. We went with an outings group from church so we had no idea what was a head of us. I was glad I decided to bring her swim suit because the first area was a long mud/clay puddle. Ava walked about half way through the mud and decided she was "all done!" I had to pick her up and finish the puddle with her on my side. Needless to say I was a mess and we had only gone 25 feet. She was a little ticked off but we kept walking.

There were some fun places to clean our legs off and play in the stream but at one point I had to pick up Ava and put my camera in my shirt just to cross a moving river, holding onto only a balance rope. Yup wish I knew about that one before I came.

The park was 2 miles long and most of it was through farmers fields (with no shoes) but there were points of fun. The pictures prove it.

Lets get this blogging started! St. George Visit 2009

We had the opportunity to go to St. George this year to attend John and Krista's wedding. They were married in the St. George Temple on August 1, 2009. The weather was beautiful but hot, 106 degrees. We had a great time there and it was so good to see everyone again.

Ava just loved being at grandma and grandpa's house. She made sure she said good morning to the chickens, fishes, and doggies everyday. We met the newest Millers' Jackson and Reagan for the first time. Dave was able to stand in the circle and help bless Reagan. It was hard when Dave had to help Eric and Miranda pack up their house because they were moving up north to Logan.

Dave celebrated his 29th birthday with the family, we all went out for a great Vietnamese meal. Mom and dad Robison were able to come down during our last weekend so we visited the Mountain Meadow Massacre Memorial and Pine Valley Mountain. We had a huge BBQ and there was a lot of food. It was a really great trip and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

I am so excited to start the Miller family blog. I have looked at many blogs over the past 6 or so months and have become very envious. I hope this blog allows anyone who wants to keep up on the Millers' an opportunity to share in the fun. Our new life in England will be adventurous and you wont want to miss a beat.

Love,
All of us
